Product Details

We love our cats, but their litter trays? Not when they get grimy and smelly. But with Catsan™ Hygiene Plus Litter, the unique fine-pored mineral granules lock in odours and bacteria and are 99.7% dust-free. Made from 100% natural lime and quartz sand, perfect for sensitive paws, the clean white colour not only looks hygienic but also helps in detecting changes in your cat’s urine, which can indicate health issues.

How it works

Each granule contains thousands of micro-pores, which act like a sponge, binding and absorbing large quantities of liquid.

The granules are sprayed with a mineral salt solution, for excellent odour control, and achieve over 97% ammonia reduction.

Steps to use

Fill your tray to a depth of at least 5cm with non-clumping CATSAN™ Hygiene Plus Litter.

Every day, remove the solid faeces. Liquid will be absorbed into the granules.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Twizzle from Why did it take me years to realise this litter wa My husband bought this by mistake as we both preferred clumping litter, It's been 10 years since we needed to have a litter tray in the house but my 15-year old feral decided that going outside was not for her. She used the bathroom mat as her toilet so we decided to get a coupe of litter trays for her to use. Anyway, the Catsan litter was put in the litter trays and all I can say is we are converts. One tray is in the bathroom and it's a small bathroom but we can't smell the litter tray. It's not a problem for the litter to absorb fluids and solids are easily removed. Great litter that I will use in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by J. J from Used to love it- what have you done?! Have used Catsan for over 10 years. Think it is brilliant. It used to be about £4 a bag, which was acceptable. In the last week the price has shot up and is now £9 for a 10L bag in most retailers. Why? What has changed in the last week for Catsan to justify this price increase? It is ridiculous and pushing the price to this level will affect animals, who will be abandoned as people struggle to afford them. So disappointed. I was a loyal customer, but this is taking the *urine*. Ironic as that is what the product is for. I have used this for the last time and will not pay that price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mrs B from Little Mowgli loves Catsan! Mowgli has always used catsan hygiene and now she’s moved home, now being an indoor cat, it’s been even more important for her. She spends an age scratching round to make her toilet perfect, does what she needs to do and then comes out full of life! But sadly she’s not been happy the last couple of days. A year ago a 20L bag was £12 in our regular high street shop, it’s now £17! Times are tough and now Mowgli is having to economise and go for an alternative cheaper option- she’s not happy! She’s hoping prices will come back down soon so she can return to her favourite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent cat litter; highly absorbant. High quality cat litter; offers excellent absorbency and reduces litter box smells. We usually use a clay based cat litter and find that the CATSAN Hygiene Plus offers better absorbency and odour control. The litter is dust free and I find that it doesn't track as much as other cat litters. My cat is usually quite picky with litter however had no issues switching to this. Highly recommended and would definitely consider using the CATSAN range again in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lolarose33 from clean and fresh everyday This cat letter is great quality , the bag is a good size and you dont need much each time . the cat litter is finely milled and is of natural origin. It is not at all dusty and smells clean and fresh . The fact that it is white colour looks clean and aesthetically pleasing too. I noticed after my cat had used the litter tray he didnt get any particles on his paws and there was very minimal odour . The cat litter smelled fresh for days and is definitely hygienic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fizz from Great odour control We have used this litter for our kitten for the past 6 months but this week our neighbour gave us some bentonite clay. The difference in smell between the 2 was amazing. Only by using a different product did I see how much I preferred the catsan hygiene plus. The tray is much easier to clean and cat is a lot happier (actually purred when I changed litter back to this). Will never now use anything else! A little more expensive but totally worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sheneyney from Odourfree for up to 10 days! We have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes are filled using only Catsan Hygiene Plus. We have tried other products and they're not half as good as this. The cats can get in and out in peace, the litter hasn't harmed their soft paw pads and they fact that it stays odourless for near 10 days is brilliant! Other products, I had to change the litterbox every week which was not ideal. Catsan is good for the cats, good for my pocket and my back!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jay63 from Great for kittens too My cat has always used this litter since she was a kitten. It's non clumping, which I find a lot safer. It also keeps odours away. However, number 2's are a slight issue. My cat tends to leave it slightly uncovered and the smell unfortunately seeps through! Maybe she is just a little lazy, but she does find it difficult to completely cover. Other than that I've never noticed any odours and do change it weekly as recommended.
